hi, friends!
I've had this blog since 2018 and I have loved being able to look back on what the Lord is teaching me! I'm going to continue using this platform as a way to
reflect on my life and what the Lord is doing in it! thank you for following along :)
I am about four weeks away from finishing my freshman year of college which is super crazy to think about!
It's been a crazy, fast semester with so many joys! one thing that has been hard for me this is dealing with imposter syndrome. I am in all the ministry classes with the super super big personalities and as you may know, I AM NOT THAT!
I have struggled a lot in my past with feeling that I am "too shy" to be involved in ministry.
I'm here to tell you that's a lie- you are made in the image of Christ and that's a beautiful thing!
something that's always been a struggle for me is comparison. comparison of other people's gifts, comparison of other people's platforms, and so on. I've come to realize that everyone is called to ministry. everyone is called to show Christ's love on earth. that takes away all the pressure of having all the right traits to be a so-called ministry leader, because if God created us all in His image, then that must mean that we all have and can cultivate the traits to be leaders. there is so much freedom found when you and I recognize that God wants to use us! shyness and all!
John 15:5 says " I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever remains in me and I in him will bear much fruit, because without me you can do nothing."
I saw this verse with new eyes last night. WHOEVER remains in me. not just sadie robertson. not just the big personalities in my classes. not just the people with a platform. that's you and me, if we are connected to the vine! it is such a sweet thing that our Father chooses to include us in the process of bringing the gospel to the world!!
I hope you are encouraged today in whatever stage you're in that you are enough in the Father! you can be used to do great things even if it's not something the world recognizes as great and impressive!
I'm writing this as a reminder to you, but also to myself that God has not forgotten you.
I'm praying over this post- that it will be encouraging and bring peace to the striving soul needing rest (including myself lol)
Ive known for a long time now, that you are definitely a branch that is connected to the vine. And I can guarantee, the Lord is very proud to have your connection.
